Prevent Water Damage with French Drain Systems
Water control and management in the crawlspace or around the home is essential for maintaining a home. Water first becomes a problem when the gutter spout comes down and makes the ground moist. It can pool in areas around the home, can cause wood rot, and can lead to a cracked foundation. We have to control the water around the home. Most water issues can be solved by using a perforated drain tile around the outside walls of the crawlspace or outside the home.

Drainage Systems
To begin this process, we use a four-inch corrugated and perforated drain tile with an accompanying sleeve. A sump basin of no less than two and a half feet is then installed. All of our pumps come with an owner’s manual of operation and info on a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.
Zimmer and Coleman are two of our most popular brands of sump pumps. The installed drain tile will guide the water to a point that we choose. This is where the sump pump will be placed. From here, the water will be pumped out and away from your home.
Sewage Clean Up
Sewage buildup in the crawlspace can cause a wide variety of issues depending on the nature and severity of the buildup. First of all, the raw sewage can sink into the soil in your crawlspace and make its way into the air in the form of toxic fumes. It also can cause mold to grow, which makes for dangerous air quality.
Raw sewage buildup can even cause structural damage to your crawlspace, especially the wooden supports. If left alone for too long, you’ll be in for some serious and very expensive repairs. Crawlspace Remediation can help protect your home by cleaning up this biohazard. Get in touch as soon as you notice signs of sewage contamination to get it cleaned up before it does any damage to your home.

DID YOU KNOW?
According to a study by the Mayo Clinic, nearly all chronic sinus infections are a result of mold. Since up to 40% of the air we breathe in the home can come from the crawlspace, mold in the crawlspace means mold in the home. The EPA recommends keeping humidity levels in the crawlspace to 40%–50% to reduce the likelihood of mold formation.
