Need Answers?

If your sump pump is not working, call the experts at Crawlspace Remediation to assess the situation and ask about our sump pump replacement services. We can help with sump pump installations or crawlspace water damage due to a broken pump.

Installation Process

We use a four-inch corrugated and perforated drain tile with an accompanying sleeve to begin this process. Next, a sump basin of at least two and a half feet is installed. The installed drain tile will guide the water to a strategic point. Finally, the sump pump will be placed where the water will be pumped out.

Popular Sump Pump Brands

Zimmer and Coleman are our most popular brands of sump pumps. All of our pumps come with an owner’s manual of operation and info on a five-year manufacturer’s warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

A sump pump is a device that is installed in a basement or crawlspace to prevent flooding and water damage. It collects water in a basin or sump pit and pumps it out and away from the property through a pipe.

A float switch activates a sump pump that detects when the water level in the basin rises above a certain level. Once activated, the pump begins to pump pater out of the pit and away from the property to prevent flooding and water damage.

A sump pump is typically needed in areas prone to flooding or with a high water table. It can also be helpful in properties with basements or crawlspaces that are below the water table level.

There are two main types of sum pumps—submersible and pedestal. Submersible pumps are installed directly in the sum pit, while pedestal pumps are installed above the pit. The choice of pump type depends on factors such as the size of the area, water table depth, and expected water volume.

It’s essential to regularly test and maintain your sump pump to ensure its effectiveness in preventing water damage. This includes cleaning the pump and pit, checking the float switch, and ensuring the discharge pipe is clear and debris-free. A professional drainage specialist can guide you in maintaining your sump pump.
